The climate is mild most of the year. It doesn't get too cold, even mid-winter, but Queensland's summers can be scorching and humid from December to February. Winter temperatures range from around 7 degrees overnight to the high teens and low 20's during the day. In summer expect minimums in the high teens and daytime maximums around 30-35 degrees. The wettest time of the year is from December to April. Current weather details. What's happening? See what's making the news or check movie session times. Getting around You can get around the coast using public transport but visitors can make the best use of their time by driving their own vehicle or a hire car. The Main Roads Department operates webcams on major roads so you can see how the traffic is flowing before you hit the road. |
