Redcliffe's jetty is one the best-known features of this now-fashionable bayside suburb on Brisbane's northern fringe. Recent years have seen people recognise the appeal of waterfront living so close to the city and there has been a boom in new residential developments. Redcliffe is also popular with day trippers from Brisbane who enjoy its attractive beachside parks, such as at Suttons Beach and Scarborough, and features such as the Settlement Cove lagoon-style swimming pool and surrounding picnic area.
